Ductless Mini Split Basics

A ductless mini split consists of a condenser coil/compressor unit that we can install outside your Central Indiana home and one or more air handlers we affix to the walls or ceilings indoors.

Refrigerant lines, power cords, and a condensate drain connect the outdoor equipment with the indoor air handlers, each containing an evaporator coil and fan.

A ductless mini split system can cool and heat your home but cannot do both simultaneously. However, each air handler has an independent controller that enables you to customize comfort levels.

Installation Day

With no ductwork involved, the disruption to your home will be minimal:

• We will place the outdoor unit on a durable, steady pad outside your home.
• We drill a small hole through the exterior of your home and on each wall where we install an air handler.
• We connect the refrigerant lines, power cord, and condensate drain and place the air handlers on walls or ceilings, ensuring the electrical connections are safe and up to code.
